Information for Tenants

Finding a new home to rent with Livitup is easy. Once you have searched our database and identified the flats or houses that you would like to view with one of our experienced negotiators, then you can either contact Livitup by phone or by simply filling in our Registration form.

Once you have chosen your new apartment the negotiator will bring you back to our offices where the manager will book the flat for you. This will entail agreeing your requirements of furniture, if necessary, length of stay and any other requirements you may have. Once everything is agreed with the landlord, a one/two week deposit will be required to reserve the property and take it of the market. This will secure the flat (subject to contract) until the reservation date when you will be moving in.

In this time references will need to be obtained. Generally employment, bank and previous landlord references are required. In some cases a guarantor might be needed, in which case references will need to be taken up on them as well.

Once all references have been received and the landlord is completely satisfied you can sign the lease. In order to sign the lease and get the keys the move in money must be paid in cleared funds. Either by Cash, bankers draft or bank transfer into our clients account.

The move in money will consist of the first months rent in advance, unless previously agreed. In some cases the rent is charged monthly, quarterly, six monthly or even annually. The returnable deposit (subject to) in most circumstances is six weeks rent but in some cases one month rent is sufficient. A contract fee is also payable on some properties as well as a possible inventory charge but these terms are dependant on the landlord and will be confirmed when initially booking the flat. All payments made on the move in date will be including the initial holding deposit. Once all the funds have been received, on the commencement date you are entitled to the keys.

Once you are living in your new home you will be liable for utility bills, unless previously agreed. To assist you here are useful contact numbers:
